Grizzly Bear Attacks Atlanta!

Sometimes I talk about me, sometimes I talk about movies and today is one of the times that I will talk about music.
I did mention at some point that I was thinking about posting a weekly playlist, but seeing as how I can hardly keep up with the coffee of the week on a regular basis, who knows how well I will keep up with a music playlist. I do have to say that I have pretty much done a totally crap job of posting in general! What is wrong with me? A lot, but that is not the focus of this post; Grizzly Bear is!
For starters, they are amazing! I just saw them for the first time a few months ago when they opened for Tv on the Radio, but I was a bit disappointed because I had wanted them to play a longer set. Well I will finally get to see them in their headlining glory and I am beyond excited. I just chatted with a good friend of mine about the show and he told me that he could tell that I was attempting to hold back my excitement/screams for the sake of my customers. I will eventually scream a whole lot because I love Grizzly Bear so much and since I’ve already seen them live, I am pretty familiar with their setlist and I know now that they play just about every single song I could ever hope to hear them sing live.
They sound just as good if not better live vs recorded which is incredibly amazing considering the 4 part harmonies and range that they have. You would expect someone to crack or fall short hitting a note or two every once in a while, but they will surely not disappoint. Not to mention that Beach House is opening for them and I like what I’ve heard from them so far so it’s going to be a very enjoyable concert. I’ve been looking forward to this for a very long time and I will definitely cherish getting in some “me” time away from the store to do something fun!
Here are some links to a few songs in case you think I am just crazy:
Grizzly Bear (It’s all amazing)
Beach House (I especially like the song “Gila” I play it all the time in the store)
