Music is in the air once again

Not so long ago I decided to take a break from having live music here. It seemed that the fun had gone out of it for me and that was simply not acceptable. If it wasn’t one thing, it was another. It seemed some people felt as though they needed to be involved with choosing the bands that I booked here; I was warned not to “cross” some people by booking bands that were different, or in their opinion not as good. Last time I checked, I am the only one responsible for paying the lease each month so no one gets to tell me whom I can and cannot allow to play here.
Aside from the mafia style warnings, people became too comfortable and a lot of the local kids were too much to handle without law enforcement getting involved. They were trashing the place and refusing to pay and for good reason left me with an incredibly bitter taste in my mouth; I was over it!
It’s been a while and I recently had someone play here on a whim and it felt great! I had to admit to myself how much I truly missed it… I missed the energy and looking out into a crowded room full of people enjoying themselves. So I am back on the saddle once again and I am ready to start booking! I already have two shows lined up for this month and I would be more than happy to keep that going.
